At docs.ai, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request deletion of your data from our systems.

Your Right to Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. This includes:

• Documents stored in cloud storage (if you use CloudSync features)
• Account information and authentication data
• Usage analytics data associated with your account
• Any other personal information we may have collected

What Happens When You Request Deletion

Cloud-Stored Data

If you have enabled CloudSynchronization features, your documents stored in the cloud will be permanently deleted. This includes:

• All documents uploaded to Firebase Cloud Storage
• Account information in Firebase Authentication
• Any metadata associated with your account

Note: Deletion of cloud data is permanent and cannot be undone. Please ensure you have exported or backed up any documents you wish to keep before requesting deletion.

Locally Stored Data

Documents stored locally on your device are not affected by data deletion requests, as we do not have access to your device's local storage. To delete locally stored documents:

• Open the docs.ai app on your device
• Delete individual documents through the app interface, or
• Uninstall the app to remove all local data (note: this will also delete the app itself)

Processing Time

We will process your deletion request within 30 days of receipt. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.

How to Request Data Deletion

Option 1: Through the App (Recommended)

The easiest way to delete your data is directly through the docs.ai app:

1. Open the docs.ai app on your device
2. Go to Settings
3. Select "Account" or "Privacy"
4. Choose "Delete Account" or "Delete All Data"
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm deletion

Option 2: Email Request

If you prefer to request deletion via email, please send a request to:

• Confirmation that you want to delete all your data
• Any additional information that may help us locate your account

What Happens After You Submit a Request

1. Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation that we have received your deletion request.
2. Verification: We may contact you to verify your identity and confirm the request.
3. Processing: We will process your deletion request within 30 days.
4. Completion: You will receive a final email confirmation once your data has been deleted.

Important Notes

• Permanent Deletion: Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered. Please ensure you have backed up any important documents.
• Local Data: This request only affects cloud-stored data. Locally stored documents on your device will remain unless you delete them manually.
• Legal Requirements: We may be required to retain certain information for legal or regulatory purposes, even after a deletion request.
• Third-Party Services: If you have shared documents through third-party services (e.g., via share links), those may need to be handled separately.
